It is the Mission of the Somerton Parks and Recreation Department to enhance the quality of recreational activities offered and the attractiveness of parks and facilities to provide better quality of life for all Somerton residents.
The Somerton Senior Center is open Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 12:00pm. The center consists of physical activities, field trips, arts and craft, singing and dancing, playing games, breakfast and lunch served daily, and every second Wednesday of the month free boxes of food are given.

T-Ball League 2008
This season we have a total of 8 team formed of boys & girls ages 4½ to 6 years of age. The games are being playes every Tuesdays & Thursday begining at 6pm at Joe Muñoz Park.
Youth Baseball League 2008 (non-city organized)
This year there is a total of 4 teams in each divison formed by boys & girls ages 7 to 12 years of age. Games are being played Monday thru Friday begining at 6pm in Main Street Ball Field.

Special Events
"4th of July 2008"- Let's celebrate our Independence! It will take place on Friday, July 4th at Perricone Park from 6pm to 11pm. There will be food, fun, and entertainment. It's a free event for the entire family.

THE POOL OPENS SATURDAY MAY 31ST AT 12PM!
We will begin taking pool reservations Monday, May 12th at 8am.

All events are required to contract security guards if there will be alcohol present you must be 3 security guards, if no alcohol present only need 2 security guards.
